How we stand out:
We are not only a surf school, we like to think of our guests/students as family and we whole heartedly want to show our family around our hometown, so think of it as a trip to your family’s vacation spot.
To uncover your true potential you must first find your own limits and then you have to have the courage to blow past them.
Our team really enjoys showing our guests local spots, such as local hidden surf spots, beautiful rivers, waterfalls and tide pools that a lot of the locals do not know of.

An authentically Costa Rican adventure awaits
Submersing our guests in the jungle, showing and teaching them about our local animals, trees and plants is a great way to make you feel at home.
One passion we have is to show our guests local cuisine, we often take you back to Mamas house for home cooked, traditional meals to experience then real pura vida lifestyle. Truly only a experience you can receive from a local who was born and raised here in the southern Nicoya peninsula. Your lessons do not have to end when you leave the water or beach, you can continue to learn and surround yourself with the culture we have here in Costa Rica.
Our Mission
“Our pursuit is to not only expose you to the waves Costa Rica has but also to show you the culture, food, people and vibes this beautiful place has to offer outside of the water. We have a calling to reveal to you Costa Rica from the locals’ eyes.”

Where can I surf in Costa Rica for beginners?
Everywhere in Costa Rica is a great spot to learn and get practice so long as you are with an experienced guide. There are plenty of beaches with nice white waters to practice your pop ups and great smaller waves to gain more experience and create more confidence in the water, especially here in our hometown of Santa Teresa.
Montezuma waterfalls
Just south of the town of Montezuma is a series of beautiful waterfalls. It is a moderate 40 Minute hike that crosses over the beautiful Rio Montezuma and through plenty of swimming holes. There are 3 total waterfalls, a large 18M waterfall at the bottom with a beautiful large swimming hole. The second is a 12M waterfall that offers a beautiful jump point into a gorgeous swimming hole. The top waterfall is a easy 6M waterfall that hosts a beautiful jump site as well into a crystal blue pool.
Surf Lessons
We also offer specialized packages that are fully customizable. Want to go visit other surf breaks in Costa Rica? Lets load up the truck and vamos!! Want to do a surf session and afterwards go have a home cooked Tipico Tico desayuno, almuerzo, or Cenar? Vamos! Interested in a trip to the hidden waterfalls, rivers and beaches or tide pools? Let us know and vamos!
Year-round, long distance, SW swells from the South Pacific
Less crowded than the beaches of Sydney, Hawaii or Southern California, the sandy stretches of Costa Rica offer plenty of swells, breaks and surf shops. Costa Rica is home to some of the best waves on the planet, crashing along beaches that are clean and blissfully empty.
